TOPIC STATEMENT
a. Definition Instructional practices consist of specific methods and classroom pedagogy that are fundamental to the delivery of appropriate and high-quality instruction coupled with relevant, engaging learning tasks for the purpose of optimum student understanding and transfer.
b. Best Practices NOHS teachers shall use best practice strategies when planning lessons and student activities.  Examples of these strategies include, but are not limited to, reading and writing  practice, differentiated instruction, multiple intelligences brain-based learning, inquiry based learning, authentic learning, and frequent assessments.  Students shall have multiple opportunities to practice media and technology skills, critical thinking and problem solving, communication skills, creativity and innovation, and leadership.
