AP Statistics

In this course, the student is introduced to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. The content for the course is centered on four broad conceptual themes: exploring data, sampling and experimentation, anticipating patterns, and statistical inference. The student will be required to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms, and he will make extensive use of both the graphing calculator and statistical software. Students interested in business, engineering, the natural sciences, the social sciences should enroll in this course. The content is roughly equivalent to a single semester (3 hours) of introductory statistics.

PRE-REQUISITES: Algebra II, with a course grade o at least a "B"
